This just in! A top secret source has informed us that the working title for Young Bond 5 is:

THE SHADOW WAR

I think this is a pretty intriguing title. “War” has never been used in a Bond title before, not even a comic strip. And we know Young Bond 5 involves Russian and German spies and the early intrigue that led to WWII... Could be perfect.

I should caution that, thus far, none of the Young Bond working titles have been used as the final titles (click here for our examination of past working titles), so fans shouldn’t assume that Young Bond 5 will be called “The Shadow War.” At this early stage, it’s only a possibility.

Young Bond 5 will be released in hardcover in the UK on September 4, 2008.
