Bond And Beyond has landed yet another major scoop. The website reports that the fifth and final Young Bond novel will be released as a hardcover on September 4, 2008. The price will be £12.99.

This will be only the second time a Young Bond novel has been published as a hardcover in the UK in its initial release (the first being Hurricane Gold).

According to Charlie Higson, the still untitled Young Bond 5 will be set in The Alps and England. The plot will involve German and Russian spies and will “burn a few bridges.” Of all his books, Charlie says this one will be the most “Bond-like” in themes and scoop. “There’s a little bit of everything in Book 5,” says the author.
