Charlie Higson’s fourth Young Bond adventure Hurricane Gold has been nominated for a Doncaster Book Award, an annual event that lets kids from local schools vote for their favorite book.

Readers are invited to write reviews for the list of nominated books at the official Doncaster Book Award website. There you can also check and see if your school is participating. If not, don't despair, voting slips will also be available at local libraries and Waterstone's bookshop in the Frenchgate Centre from November.

The shortlist will be announced in January 2009.

Last year, the Doncaster Book Award was won by Derek Landy's Skulduggery Pleasant.
