During his talk at The Oxford Literary Festival, Young Bond author Charlie Higson revealed that he recently visited Goldeneye, Ian Fleming’s vacation house in Jamaica where the author penned all his classic James Bond novels.
Charlie’s trip was hosted by the Imperial War Museum, which opens an exhibit devoted to the life and work of Fleming on April 17. The exhibit is part of the ongoing Centenary celebration of Ian Fleming’s birth on May 28 (publication day for the Hurricane Gold paperback and the new adult Bond novel, Devil May Care).
Hopefully Charlie will write an account of his trip as a tie-in to the Centenary. In the past, Charlie has written very entertaining accounts of his travels to Sardinia researching Blood Fever and his Double or Die inspired London walkabout with his two sons.
