Charlie Higson’s fifth Young Bond novel By Royal Command has been chosen by the children of Oxfordshire as the best novel of 2009 in the Oxfordshire Children's Book Awards.

The news was announced over the weekend on BBC South and the official Ian Fleming Publications website.

The Oxfordshire Book Award is a regional award voted for by almost 1,000 children in the Oxfordshire area.

By Royal Command find James in action from London to the Alps. The book is out now in the UK in paperback. A hardcover edition will be released in the U.S. on May 18, 2010.
