Good news today for fans of Kev Walker’s spectacular Young Bond artwork. We’ve confirmed that the acclaimed artist is currently at work on the cover for Disney-Hyperion’s By Royal Command, due for release in the U.S. in May 2010.

Walker recently revamped the covers of the first two U.S. Young Bond books, SilverFin and Blood Fever, as well as providing cover art for the just released Hurricane Gold. Walker’s work will also feature in the just announced Young Bond companion book, Danger Society: The Young Bond Dossier, due for release in November.

No word yet on what Walker’s By Royal Command cover will look like, but it’s likely to follow Disney’s established “Bond vs. villain” formula.
