We’ve received some very interesting intel about the new Young Bond story by Charlie Higson due for publication in the upcoming Danger Society: The Young Bond Dossier.

It appears the story is substantially longer than your average “short story.” In fact, this new adventure will be the longest James Bond short story yet written, surpassing the previous record holder, For Your Eyes Only by Ian Fleming.

The title of the story is being kept Top Secret, but a preview extract will appear in the paperback edition of By Royal Command due for release on May 28.

Danger Society: The Young Bond Dossier is the complete and definitive guide to the world and adventures of Young Bond. It will be released by Puffin Books in November 2009.
