Our friends at Puffin have provided us with cover art for the second book in Charlie Higson’s non-Bond horror series, The Dead.  The cover will feature foil accents as did book one, The Enemy.

Charlie Higson has also revealed some plot details, telling the NZ Herald, “A lot of people picking it up will expect it to begin five minutes later but actually it starts a year before the beginning of the first book. It also follows a different group of kids, seeing how they survive and, as the book goes on, we will see how the two stories come together.”

Charlie also revealed on Twitter that The Dead will have scenes set in the Imperial War Museum, where the kids “get hold of much cool weaponry” to aid in their continuing battle with the zombies...and each other!

The Dead will be released as a hardcover in the UK in October 2010. Amazon.co.uk
