BY ROYAL COMMAND RELEASED TODAY IN THE USA
Charlie Higson’s fifth Young Bond adventure By Royal Command is released today in the USA by Disney Hyperion. The new hardcover features cover art by artist Owen Richardson and can be purchased from Amazon.com.
Says author Charlie Higson, “When they first approached me and said they wanted a series of five books to deal with the Eton years, in studying Fleming and reading the obituary, I knew it would have to lead up to the incident with the maid. I always thought from the start it would be great to do something about national security and changing the facts to preserve certain reputations. Eton is right next door to Windsor, so the obvious story to do would be something involving the Royal Family. So right from the start I’ve been leading up to that point and I’ve always been really looking forward to writing [this] book and I knew it was going to be a quite interesting story and quite a serious story as well. So I was very pleased with how it all sort of came out.”
By Royal Command was first released in the UK in 2008. The U.S. is now the fourth country to publish the entire Young Bond series behind England, Germany, and France.
Charlie Higson will be touring the U.S. next week. Click here for his full World Book Tour schedule.
